About Us

The Lalanne Foundation

The Lalanne Foundation brings Harris Lalanne’s vision to life by promoting healthcare and education in Haiti since 2008. It is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization maintaining professional relationships with both countries to increase the donation of healthcare and education tools. Our primary goal is to provide the same academic and healthcare opportunities in Haiti as can be found in the United States.

We provide accessible medical care to Haitians of all ages and sponsor the well-being of locals for body, mind, and spirit rejuvenation.

Our Story

In
1993

Harris Lalanne, the founder of The Lalanne Foundation immigrated from Haiti in search of a better life in the United States. He was looking for ways to increase academic opportunities for himself and his people back in Haiti.

In
2008

He went back to Haiti for a visit to a school in Port-au-Prince. He analyzed the situation of the educational system in Haiti and decided to help by sending modern computers and forming a chemistry lab. It was the year of The Lalanne Foundation’s beginning.

In
2010

After the earthquake of 2010, the Foundation modified its goals to assist victims of natural disasters in Haiti. We aided different schools and worked with Artesia Christian Homes and local churches for school repairs. We also donated soccer balls, science equipment, and art supplies to two schools in Haiti.

2011

The Lalanne Foundation rebuilds classroom after the previous year’s disaster in Ecole Republique du Paraguay, Carrefour Feuilles.

In
2018

We built relationships with Northern Haiti and donated supplies and gas stoves to a children’s home, Foyer des enfants de Milot.

In
2019

The Foundation participated actively in building strong relations with new volunteer leaders for medical development. The focus of the Foundation shifted to meet the healthcare needs of Haiti.
